What does it cost?
Rent Panda is completely free! We charge landlords for our premium services but Rent Panda is always free for those looking for their next home.
What about scams or fraud? What do you do to protect tenants?
We believe strongly in accountability and trust. That’s why we visit every property listed on Rent Panda and we take the pictures and video. This way you can trust that there are no scams and the pictures are a true representation of the property.
How do I get started?
Sign up for free, quickly and easily. Input your info, verify your email and that’s it - you’ll be able to save apartments to your dashboard, message landlords and find the perfect rental home.
I signed up, now what?
You’ll need to verify your email address. After completing the sign up form, we automatically send an email to your email address to confirm that it works. This way we can be sure that when a landlord messages you that you’ll actually get the messages. Go to your email and look for the verification email (sometimes it ends up in the junk or spam folder). Click ‘activate’ in the email and then you’re all set. If you have a problem or didn’t get the verification email, contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

How do I communicate with a landlord/how do I book a viewing?
Once you have signed up, you can message a landlord over our secure messaging system. There is a message box on every apartment’s page, so you can get in contact with the landlord to ask any questions or to book a viewing.
When a landlord replies, you’ll receive the message in your Rent Panda message folder and we’ll send an email to you letting you know you have a message waiting. By corresponding over the Rent Panda system you know your information is secure and that you are speaking to the verified landlord of the apartment you are interested in.
Where is the landlord’s phone number/why can’t I just call the landlord directly?
We do not publicly advertise landlord phone numbers. This is to respect the privacy of our landlords and to ensure that communication happens respectfully and safely over our secure messaging system. If you would rather call the landlord, just ask them for their phone number when you message them. Landlords are free to disclose their number to you privately if they wish.
Does Rent Panda own any properties? Is Rent Panda a landlord or property manager?
No, Rent Panda does not own any properties and we are not property managers. We are a one-stop-shop for all your rental housing needs. First and foremost, we advertise vacancies so you can find the perfect home quickly and easily. Coming soon we’ll be connecting you to a range of trusted services like moving companies, insurance providers, home improvement services and everything you need to make your new place into a home.

Rent Panda works on a freemium model. This means that our basic services are free and we offer extra services you can choose to buy.
Listing and photography are free! Advertise as many units as you like on Rent Panda for free. We’ll even send a professional photographer to take pictures of your unit at no charge. This way we make sure your unit looks its best and tenants trust your ad because we have visited every property.
What are your paid services?
Pay to get more eyes on your property.
Have your property featured on the homepage for $30/week.
Become the top search result everyone sees for only $20/week.
Show off all your unit has to offer with a 360 degree video tour for $30.
Access these paid services through the ‘promote’ button which appears right next to your properties on your dashboard.
How do I post my pictures/why can’t I post my own pictures?
Rent Panda does not allow you to post your own pictures. This is because we want to guarantee our users consistent and high quality pictures and videos. As well, by visiting every property we can guarantee that there are no scams or slumlords posting on Rent Panda.
In exchange for not allowing landlords to post their own pictures, we send a professional photographer to your unit for free. After listing your unit on Rent Panda, we’ll call you to book a photoshoot time that’s convenient for you. Photo shoots are usually no more than 15 minutes. Our trained professionals work exclusively on rental housing so they do their work efficiently and to our exacting standards.

What’s the difference between a property and a unit?
Many landlords have more than one unit on a particular property. For example, for a property at 123 Main Street there may be a ground floor unit and a basement apartment. Alternatively, an apartment building may have 10 or more units. We made it easy to organize all of your properties by separating out properties from units. Start by inputting property details such as the address and postal code. Then, click ‘add unit’ to start putting in the details for each unit in that building. This keeps your rentals streamlined and organized in your account.
How do I communicate with a potential tenant?
Tenants will be able to message you over our secure messaging system. There is a message box built right into your ad so when a tenant likes what they see they can message you directly. You’ll receive the message in your message folder on your dashboard. You’ll also get an email letting you know you have a message waiting on your dashboard. By corresponding over the Rent Panda system you know your information is secure and that the person messaging you is a real Rent Panda user.
What do I do after I rent my unit?
Congrats on finding a great new tenant! All you do now is log in to your account and click ‘deactivate ad’ next to the unit that is being advertised. This turns your ad inactive but saves your ad, including pictures and video, for whenever you need it next. If you need to advertise again in 1 month, 1 year or 10 years later, your ad is ready to go at any time. Just click ‘activate’ and your ad goes live immediately.
